Hi freedivers!
last Sunday we had again a great freediving session in the quarry of Lessines enjoying a 100% Belgian weather!
Indeed, it was a cloudy, windy, rainy weather...but it wasn't enough to stop Gyome, Christophe (welcome!), Franck, Paulo, David, Xavier (welcome and thanks for the pics!), Thibault, Fabrice (welcome back ^^) and last but not least our 3 mermaids Magalie (welcome back), Sabine and Isalyne!
We even had the motivation to make the very first Belgian freedivers pyramid :D.
We dispatched the freedivers among the 3 instructors presents, namely Magalie, Paulo and myself. I was preparing the sled with Fabrice. Thanks for your help buddy and very happy to have you back among us! It will be my pleasure to further work on your AIDA 4 training ;-).
Surface temperature was about 17°C dropping below 10°C starting from -10m. That was probably the last time that I could use my 3/5mm hybrid wetsuit in Belgium waters for this years! Anyway, the rain creates a very special feeling that you have to try at least once in your freediver life :D.
After warm-up around their ropes, everybody could test the sled dive and it was a first for many!
2hours later, it is time to wrap-up and go back to the pontoon...Always a bit more work when we use the sled but it is soooooo funny!
Last debriefing before going back up to the locker room and then the club house (photo by Xavier Van Achter).
New faces and lot of freediving fun...what else do you need? :D
Next time in Lessines is October 7th! Don't hesitate to join ;-)
Sea you,
Feli
