Hello freedivers,

man, we had such an enjoyable 1h+ freediving session this sunday morning in Le site de Raph (Lessines). Big sun, air temperature around 16°C and water temperature between 6 and 8°C.

Even if it was a bit challenging to reach (and then to leave!) the quarry, Ester, Elisabeth, Emine (a.k.a E3 from now on :-) and Roeland were highly motivated to do some freediving training!

Ready to rock :D

That was a first for Ester who could have a taste of freediving in Belgian quarry. She is definetely highly brrrave to have this try out in the middle of the winter season :D. Thank you again for joining and thank you also for all the great pictures!

Big thumbs-up also for Elisabeth  who successfully tried her brand-new Elios wetsuit. I was very happy to see her enjoying every seconds of this session! Another brrrave strong woman among us!

And of course, last but not least, Roeland, very active member of our UF club in Herentals, successfully completed the AIDA assistant instructor (AIDA 4) course that we started last year just before the pandemic. We just needed to perform the deep safety skill. Good time for everybody to remind and practice safety procedures in depth! Great achievement, 200% deserved! Congrats again buddy!

Before leaving, we heard that the access to the quarry will improve in the future...that would be the cherry on the cake :D.

Have a nice week!

Feli

Sun, sun, sun and a couple of serious achievements!
