Hello freedivers,
yesterday was my first session in open water of the year 2021. Even if it was a bit cold (air temperature -2°C), it was a bright morning and I could enjoyed a nice sunlight during the driving towards the quarry of Lessines ("Site de Raph"). Hum, actually the sun was visible only until I was ca. 10km from the quarry...then the fog started...and it stayed there until I hit the 9°C water :D.
Actually the latter was not that cold! 9°C are still more than 10°C above the air temperature! And indeed, together with buddies Roeland and Gert from UF-Herentals, we spent more than 1h in the water, even performing some excecices for the assistant freediving instructor course! Visibility was not that great but, once again, the peacefullness of the place perfectly worked on our soul ^^.

Hamed et Mohamed étaient là également! Ce dernier a d'ailleurs pu tester pour la toute première fois, sa bouée flambant neuve! Bravo les courageux apnéistes de l'EPSM!

As you can see, we strictly respect the Corona rules as we can't dive with big groups, but on the other hand, if you are interested, you can still speak directly to the quarry responsible, Marc, to arrange a session for you!
Don't forget to enjoy the real water ;-)
