Hi freedivers!
with -3°C air temperature and 6°C water temperature, I think that this is not far from the coldest conditions I had ever freedive :-).
Luckily I was surronded by the best team, namely Anneke, Dieter and Paul!
To cheer us up, we did an original group picture..falling! Very nice idea from Anneke :D.
Then we swam towards the shinning part of the quarry, namely close to the common reed and there Paul could installed his buoy. We did nice warm-up dives along the cliff. 6°C is a very low temperature but once we were busy with the training we could really enjoy it! Thanks again Dieter for the very nice pictures, always with such a pleasant atmosphere ;-).
Even if our 7mm Eliossub NJN wetsuit kept us in good conditions after almost 1 hour session, the extremities namely the hands and feet were close to be frozen :-). If you have some tip about that, don't hesitate to let us know ^^.
On the plateform, we could enjoy a warm and tasty tea made by Anneke. That's of course always welcome such a nice starter :D.
Dieter enjoying his tea and EPSM's president Marc being surprised about freediver's beverage :D (photo by Anneke).
And a few minutes later, the lifting trolley braught another suprise because we received warm wine...that somebody was eager to taste...but whom? (see picture below :p).
Next session in Lessines is March 11th...if you are crazy enough to follow us, let me know ^^.
cheers,
Feli
