Hi freedivers,
it was more than one month since my last visit to Lessines. Therefore I was happy to be back! In addition, there were a lot of new faces which was quite exciting.
Notably 4 women were present among us...That number was beaten only once before...That was 2 years ago, almost on the same day! In addition, they were highly motivated! What a pleasure to dive whith such freedivers :-).
Nice big group on the platform waiting for me and once again the whole quarry only for the 10 of us :D.

Inge led the group with Wouter, Magalie and Bart. That was a first in Belgian (cold) water for the later since he used to work as an instructor in Thaïland. I think that he enjoyed it...a bit ;-). He will surely enjoy it more with a wetsuit thicker than 3mm :D.
On the other hand, Tessa, Mélinda, Claude, Vincent and Fabrice came with me. Except for the latter, that was their first time freediving in Lessines! I was happy to show them this wonderful quarry even if we did not have the best visibility for some spots.
Water was 20°C at the surface (too hot for my 7mm wetsuit!) but dropped to about 10°C around -30m with the thermocline located around -10m.
We had nice dives, free immersion, constant weight at the house, the small sailing ship and finally at the -30m platform. All together the session lasted for more than 1h30 :-).

Midday, time to come out, take a quick shower and enjoy a bit of sun discussing and catching up with personns I don't see often enough :-).
Next dates are August 28th and September 11th!
