Hello freedivers,
no freediving in depth today, so time to remember our session from last week :-).
About 8°C in the water and in the air, no sun shining...but still a bunch of brave freedivers were present to enjoy open water freediving! Thank you again Aimee, Christophe, David, Elisabeth, Emine, Ester, Mohamed, Pieter and Roeland. It is really my pleasure to see your motivation!
Thank you again Ester for the very nice sfeer photos!
To improve our safety, we were only freediving with pairs for one buoy. We also took fully benefit of the huge size of this quarry :D.
Together with Ester, we did some nice fun dives at the wall close to the pontoon. I also showed her the impressive (!) statue :p. Then we went to the traditional ladder before joining the deepest point of the quarry for some safety training.
We all felt the cold this time without the sun, and in the presence of cold wind, especially in the middle of the quarry. But still after 1h+ session in 8°C cold water, it is still not bad at all! And then back to reality...I mean the reality of removing your 7mm wetsuit on the ground :D.
Next time, there will be sun, that's for sure!
Sea you,
Feli
