Hey freedivers!

after teaching in North France last Saturday, I had already another appointment to give a freediving course this Monday in Oostende! Indeed diving club Duikpunt was looking for a freediving instructor for already a long time and luckily they could eventually reach one of us, namely Jeroen :-). Afterwards it appeared that Inge already dove with some of them during a scubadiving trip in Egypte this Spring. We are living in a small world :D.

As a consequence, Inge, Jeroen and myself headed to Oostende on Monday evening to meet the first batch of 12 students interested in learning a bit over freediving!

After a bit of theory, we went to the swimming pool...yes, you heard it right...a swimming pool, like 50m from the sea :-). But this is not just another swimming pool...this is a 50m salt water swimming pool! Weird to tast salt water in such an environment but eventually this is kind of cool :D.

But before tasting the water, we did a nice respiration/streching session.

Then we did some static (contractions awareness) and some dynamic. I really appreciated the help from Inge and Jeroen to manage the 12 freedivers! Thanks a lot you guys ;-).

Then it was already 22h30 and I still had more than 2h to drive back home...so after hearing that people appreciate the course and some of them already want to go further...I could leave with a very good feeling!

Next student batch is next week!

Cheers,

Feli
