Hi freedivers,
last Sunday, we went to Zwevegem, close to Kortrijk in Belgium for some AIDA training. Indeed Eva, An, Laurent and Gilles were up to follow AIDA level 1 and AIDA level 2 training while my good friend Paul came to practice his teaching that will bring him one step closer to the AIDA instructeur level.
On the other, An, Bert, Dieter, Filip, Sandra and Thierry joigned us to enjoy the duiktank by themselves.
As always we were warmly welcomed by owner Marc!
We started by a bit of respiration techniques and then some static in the most quiet place of the tank where every students did great!

For the second hour of the training, we could train in depth having almost the whole tank only for us ! There we could practice free immersion, constant weight and safety techniques for freediving.

Everybody did great! And I'm happy to say that Belgium has one new AIDA level 1 and one new AIDA level 2 freedivers! ...And more wil come very soon ;-).
Cherry on the cake, I also had the opportunity to test my Alemanni monofin in depth for the very first time...man man man...what a pleasure! Surely to be repeated in open water :D

After a nice and warm shower, we went could enjoy some snacks and drinks all together...and make the group photo that we forgot to do at the very beginning of the session :D

For your information, the last freediving sessions for 2017 in open water are November 5th and December 17th in the quarry of Lessines (I had to cancel december 3rd for private reason :-).
