Hi freedivers!
today, air temperature below 10°C and water temperature in the same range did not discourage us to go for a freedive session in the quarry of Lessines!
Indeed An, Dieter, Olivier, Paul and Wouter were all motivated to enjoy the water!
We had a nice chat on the ponton before entering the water. One of them was Dieter's new ski stick, oooh sorry!, selfie stick :p. Laughfing and moving around is arealdy a good start in these "not that warm" weather conditions :D.
Then we split into two groups. An, Dieter and Olivier went training while Paul, Wouter and myself went to the -40m zone to practice AIDA instructor candidates skills. Deep constant weight, stamina and deep BO rescue were some of the topics that we practiced.
Big congrats to Paul and Wouter for being able to master these skills even if the water is close to 10°C!
Then Anneke had the great idea to prepare some tea and cookies for us! What a great initiative...thanks again Anneke!
After almost 1h30 in the water and a reconforting tea and cookie time, we went back to the "surface" and could enjoy (again :-) some belgian beers, croque-monsieurs and pancakes at the EPSM cafeteria!
Wanna join the next session on December 17th? :D
Cheers,
Feli
