a few weeks ago, a former AIDA2 student, Thijs asked me to organize a new freediving introductory course for his girlfriend Joke...in the meantime, her friend, Sophie, as well as Keevy and Pedro wanted to join the course. It took place yesterday at deep tank Transfo (Zwevegem).
As usual, the boss Marc gave a warm welcome to the whole group. Let's also not forget David who also joined buddy Thijs. Both of them could enjoy the deep tank almost on their own for a big part of the session.
After about 1h30 theory lesson, it's time to pratice a bit! We started with respiration/relaxation excercices before entering the water.
Notably, Marc is improving the deep tank. A underwater scene is being constructed. He also thought about us freedivers by building a nice 1m deep plate-form, ideal for static training.
After static apnea, we practiced a bit dynamic with fins and ended up with free immersion and constant weight excercices.
After a big 2h session in the pool, it is unfortunately time to stop. A warm shower and everybody meets at the cafetaria to enjoy a deserved "croque-monsieur".
It is very nice to see that everybody is enthusiastic and already speaks about the next training :D.
So the best is yet to come!
